Friendly staff , great food and only 1.5 miles from Whitby . ( Although Park and Ride does not start until Spring) . Would certainly book again ."

"We stayed here on 2/12/24 for our anniversary, hotel was in the middle of a little village and quiet. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very welcoming especially at breakfast on the Sunday morning, the girl couldn’t do enough for us and was really helpful. Food was good, we thought it wouldn’t be that good for a free breakfast but we would have happily paid extra for it. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we are hoping to return in summer "

"Really comfy place. Room was spot on. When the gentleman showed me the room. He noticed a mark on the duvet. (It was nothing really). It looked like they’d maybe rested the vacuum on the bed & it had left a bit of dirt. The gentleman changed the duvet cover there & then. I ordered my breakfast & unfortunately I slept in. When I left I apologised & they couldn’t have been nicer about it. Spot on place , would stay again."

"We stayed with our young son for 3 nights in July 2024. The staff were absolutely lovely, so welcoming and helpful with everything we needed and great with interacting with our young son. The food - breakfast and dinner - is truly incredible with nothing too much trouble. The only downside we experienced really was that we were in a room on the top floor which, while the room had clearly been hoovered etc, it was dusty in places with lots of cobwebs - while we don't mind spiders, we removed...

"The house was everything we hoped for and more. The decor is spot on and there can't be many houses in Whitby with a better vista. The only thing I would say though is that it is very difficult to load and unload...Church St car park was packed so we had to use the Abbey car park which is a gruelling up/downhill slog for the less fit/able. Be prepared to travel very light as you can't get close to the property with a car. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return."
