"A great place to stay. Close enough to the (amazing) beach that if you forget something it's no hassle to pop back and grab it. Really good location for accessing loads of WW2 sites (for when you have a WW2 obsessed teenager!), and some really good cycling routes nearby. "A great week spent at Claires quiet and tranquil village house. Ideally located for a visit to the WW2 historical sites. Deceptively spacious, clean and with secure off road parking. Local supermarket only 2km away at Cruelly. Proved to be ideal for us touring the area on motorcycles. A little investment in some comfortable furniture would make it the perfect holiday spot. "We enjoyed our 5 days in Pascale's house immensely. Exceptionally clean, well equipped and ideally located for the bakery, beach, butchers, bars and restaurants. "Luc was a lovely host. Great communication. The house was ideally positioned for the beach with its own private gate and parking. Easy to explore Normandy and the museums. Local bike hire was good to access the many good cycle paths in the area. The bakery opposite was lovely with baguettes croissants and very good quiche. We enjoyed our stay very much."

"We very much enjoyed our recent stay in Ryes! The house is charming and well-equipped, and was the perfect location for exploring Bayeux and the D-Day beaches and museums. The host, Alexandre, shared information about the area, left plenty of instructions for how the house/appliances work, and responded quickly to my messages. Should you have children with you (we did not), the house is well set up to entertain them (with games, a swing set, etc.). Over all, we had a lovely stay and would...

"The town was a ghost town with a majority of the commerce and many homes shut for the season. But that meant no lines at the few places that were open. Our visit’s focus was the D Day history and we found those areas open and welcoming."
