"The house is situated in a vineyard with fig trees growing around the house. It is a 25 minute walk up the mountain road to the medieval village of Erice. Trapani is the main town and is about 15 minutes by car down the mountain. The mountain road (SP3) is steep with hairpin bends, so it is best to hire a small car like most of the locals. "Overall good value for location and accommodation. Big problem the shuttle back to the ferry which is offered as part of the service was refused apparently because the ferry left at 7.55am and the shuttle starts ay 8am. To be at tbe ferry the shuttle would need to have left at 7.30 !!! I was advised to get a taxi. I walked. The onsite shop and bar barista closed for tbe season midway through my stay. Very very annoying and a massive disappointment not to buy a coffee in the morning. Nearest...
