"If you like a room that smells humid and like an old cigarette, this is a place for you. The room hasn’t been upgraded in a generation and the shower had water damage and black mold on the ceiling. The pool and hottub were shut down, and looked like they had been for a while. Of course they didn’t provide notice of any of this, especially to a family coming up to enjoy skiing, and all the outdoor activities the Lake Placid area has to offer, and would love nothing else but to soak in a hot tub afterwards. After all, that’s one of the things we punched in the search criteria. Spend your money someplace else. You get what you pay for and I learned the hard way on this place."

"Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Beds were a bit too firm for me, but did the job. Only 5min drive to Gore mt and about 10ish min to the town of North Creek. Also only 15min to snowmobiling tours. Great location!! I'd stay here again "

"Saranack lake is a great place to visit. The anual Ice Festival 1st 2 weeks of February every year was going on The best Western hotel is well run Clean has a pool and nice hot breakfast "

"Town House Lodge was the perfect spot for our quick overnight. We got in late and the room was ready and waiting for us. The room was super chic and modern and very clean! It was also a great price. We knew we weren't staying long, so didn't want to spend a ton. This is also an excellent location - not far from main street. Would definitely stay again!"
