"A lovely spacious apartment as a stopover before hopping on an early morning ferry. Only downside was that when I requested a plug for the bath I was told it was there the night before and that I should take a shower! 😧 Part of this “fawlty towers” moment was the language barrier, and that they also run a restaurant downstairs and seemed overly stretched and understaffed. "We had a wonderful stay at the gite for over 2 weeks. It was the perfect place to visit the ehole of west Normandy includung Bayeux. It is close to the sea and to the village of Urville, where the local supermarket Utile had everyting you need and has great opening hours. The gite itself is cosy and the fact that it is near the castke with great gardens is an absolute plus.
