"The staff were very friendly and helpful despite being very busy. There was a mixup with our booking so they provided a bag packed full of snacks and drinks which were very much appreciated. The room was very pleasant and beds extremely comfortable. Excellent stay highly recommended."

"I'll cut to the chase with this one. If you're expecting all the frills, you won't get them. HOWEVER... Its an absolute bargain and certainly ideal for a short break. The hotel itself may be in need of some work (and it looks like some of that work has started), but ultimately, its clean, comfortable, ideally located given its very close proximity to the railway station etc, and even the noise issues that people had raised in other reviews wasnt an issue. You might get a bit of background noise but its not offputting and what do you expect? Its in the town centre next to a railway station and a ferry port. I still managed a good nights sleep. Check in was also very straightforward and easy too. Definitely recommended for anyone who needs a place to get a good nights kip for the next days adventures. 👍"
