"Owner Gary and Chef Chris were very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. Very natural hospitality minded folks, Gary thoughtfully pre-booked us dinner reservations nearby, which was very thoughtful. Canapés and wine happy hour was a delight. Would love to come back soon!"

"Nina and Peter's little Chalet was delightful. Bella and Rufus were the perfect cuddle buddies in the morning while Nina prepared breakfast. Would highly recommend a stay here. Easy access to Taupo area but out of the way and quiet!"

"My wife and I stayed three nights at the Whakaipo Lodge as part of a 12 day NZ vacation. We have traveled to many countries and stayed and some wonderful venues. My wife and I agree that Whakapio Lodge ranks as our favorite. Angie and Garth are amazing hosts. The room we had was spacious, private, modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean.
