"We had an issue at check in, in as much as it didn’t seem ready, black bag still in the bin, food waste still in the bin, damp towels in bathroom (unsure if used) and the bedroom not made up. We text the owner who came straight away and was mortified, they had only just returned from being away and the cleaner employed did not do as requested. The Old Sea Captain's House: A short walk to stunning beaches, shops and pubs
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (10)
"We stayed along with my brother and his family - 6 adults, 2 children and one dog. The house is as described and shown in the pics. Perfect location 5 mins walk from the beach, shop, pub, takeaways. 5 min drive from Cardigan which happened to be holding a food festival on the Saturday when we popped in to get wetsuits. The village of Aberporth is small and not like the larger areas of New Quay or Aberaeron so don’t expect a plethora of shops and bars. However it is very charming and we...

Charming Cottage in the Gwaun valley, near Newport
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (40)
"We had a wonderful time. Cwmllan feels back in time in the best way. Some reviewers seemed critical of the water pressure from the spring-fed water system but this didn't bother us much at all. It's a place to go slower, not to be rushing around! Lovely neighbours and beautiful surroundings. Wonderful choice of walks and a good old-school DVD collection for cosy rainy nights in. Highly recommended. "
