"We stayed here with our kids (16,13 and 12) and it was a lovely lodge. We loved the hot tub and how peaceful the location was. I’ve given the overall rating a 3 out of 5 as I felt there were some things that could be improved. There was a lot of black mould in the bottom of the shower, there were no locks on bathroom doors and the boiler in one of the rooms was very loud and kept the kids awake at points during the night. Overall, we would come back to this lodge, however not in the summer...

"The cottage is full of character and feels much more spacious than it looks in the photos. It is simply presented but has everything you need. The garden is large and great for dogs and the countryside around is incredibly beautiful for walking. We also had a nice meal at the pub in Painscastle."

"Property was fine hot tub was grat decking smelled of dog wee.it was ok for a short trip. But we never got any sleep due to rats scratching , chewing and running around from 23.00- 04.30 so with this it has ruined are weekend showing at the Royal welsh show ground. We did notice the property has rodent repellant plug in so maybe this is an going problem."
