"Quaint farm house in wooded quiet location. If you want to unplug from technology, this is the place for you. Limited cell service, spotty wifi and no television. Beds are comfortable but firm. Nice addition by the owners to provide coffee, cream,sugar, eggs, fruit and wine. Overall good stay!"

"We had a fabulous weekend celebrating our 40th anniversary at the Shoe House. The house is beautifully decorated with every detail thought of by the hosts. We spent our weekend cooking together, playing games, sitting out by the fire pit and enjoying the hot tub. Sleeping accommodations are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The downstairs family room is where we gathered the most and having a full refrigerator, bar, and coffee station was a huge plus. We had a fabulous memorable time....

"My friend and I were Civil War reenactors 45 years ago. We had talked about this trip for a long time. This cabin ticks all the boxes for a historical deep dive. Its almost on the battlefield and the Round Tops are easily visible from the property. At the end of a long day of following that HUGE battle, the cabin is a quiet, idyllic retreat.
