"Stopped for two nights with my husband on a motorbike trip to the Picos. We loved staying here. We had a beautiful balcony view looking out on to farm land and mountains and could hear the birds singing. So tranquil. Loved all the geranium window boxes. So pretty. Staff were very friendly and we got by with speaking English and a little Spanish! The accommodation was very clean and the beds very comfortable. We could have parked the bike in the garage as pre arranged but felt it was safe to leave the bike at the front of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious, not a cooked breakfast , apart from fried eggs and pancakes on one day but plenty of choice and delicious. The restaurant for an evening meal was in a separate building up a hill on the other side of the road. It was only open 1 of the two nights we were there but the quality of the food was excellent and generous portions. The hotel was a perfect position for exploring the Picos and we preferred the more tranquil spot rather than stopping in Potes. Found it a bit tricky to find the entrance to the hotel at first. Think cars had to park on roadside but we could park the bikes in front of the property which was excellent. Wish we'd booked another night. Would I stay again...Yes, definitely. Sad to leave ."

"This is a beautiful old, well maintained hotel with great attention to comfort and cleanliness. The room was spacious with comfortable beds and a spotless bathroom. We didn’t have breakfast but would have loved to stay longer. "

"Beautiful setting in a limestone gorge with a river flowing through it. Better than a white noise machine! There are hiking and mountaineering trails in the immediate vicinity. As a vegan, I appreciated that they included both a vegan and vegetarian option on the dinner menu. The thermal pools and the baths (balneario) were lovely. Don’t forget your bathing cap! "

"This is a lovely old hotel with fabulous grand old rooms. Lots of charm. Bit tricky to drive to, last part of journey is on narrow cobbled streets full of visitors, but take your time and you’ll be fine. Hotels in a lovely big square with parking opposite and easy to get into. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant, picked up breakfast from a lovely little panaderia two minutes walk away and the lovely village is literally in the doorstep. "
