"This is a large and busy hotel, quite convenient to the train station, and situated on one of Colombo's lovely lakes. It felt like a Vegas property, absent the casinos. My room was okay -- reasonably comfortable and business like. The big attraction are the numerous restaurants, shops and entertainment options. Plus, a pool that is open to 9 p.m. My favorite thing was swimming in the huge, almost entirely empty pool, under the night sky, with the giant Lotus Flower Tower all lit up...

"The room was very clean and spacious. There's a bar, restaurant, and pool at the top of the building, and the sunset view from there was amazing. The staff was nice and helpful. "beautiful serene hotel directly facing the lagoon. We enjoyed very much staying there, the complimentary foot massage and lovely views. the pool looked stunning, even though we did not swim. we would like to see more lagoon activities - ie kayaks and paddle boats for rent from the hotel."

Lagoon tour (arranged by front desk) was peaceful, full of birds, Captain Rohan a fantastic guide to birds and wildlife. Transportation to Negombo is via tuktuk, driver Asim polite and exceptionally kind (provided tour of Negombo and a short errand for salt and Type G adapter for my travels, Amagi Aria has universal outlets but the rest of Sri Lanka has Type G). "Worst ever hotel. I have no idea how Expedia give them 5star. This is not even close to 3 star. Power breaker goes off every minute. Keeps changing room and nothing is fixed. Never going to stay in this hotel. You should consider giving a professional assessment before rating stars to a property "
