"Staff were fantastic. Hotel building and location were amazing. Great views across to the straights and mountains. Breakfast was really good, dinner was ok. Main issue was that we were not in the main building but a separate one (lodge). Walls there are paper thin unfortunately and could hear everything in room next door. Boiler from room nextdoor was also super loud. Not great for 200 a night! I'm sure the rooms in the main building are much better so would be good to come back and stay in them...

Breakfast took place in a large dining room, with impressive looking chairs. The breakfast offering was plentiful and we submitted our order the night before. "This is one of best independent accommodation i have stayed at. The 4 poster bedroom with sea view room is wonderful and so well equipped; the hosts have thought of everything you may need, from microwave, cutlery, fridge, water, tray of refeshments,microwave, toiletries, a multi plug power station next to the bed. The bottle of fizz was such a lovely touch after a day of walking. The building is very central, next to the castle. Had a great view of over the bay, it was so quiet, didnt even...
