I really enjoyed my visit to the Museum Langelandsfort in Denmark. It is on the site of a former active military base and has a wide range of military hardware and displays. There were artillery guns, bunkers, equipment rooms, submarine, minesweeper boats, tanks and fighter aircraft on display.

Unlike other similar museums which lock everything away this one allows you to get up close and personal, touch walk through and even operate some of the equipment.

Allow at least 3 hours as it is a big site with a fair amount of walking in between exhibits. As a suggestion, more translation of the displayed information into English, maybe an app or audio guide would be helpful in increasing the experience for international travellers.
