"The hotel is visibly old and could do with a refurbishment. The room was spacious but primitive. The restaurant is recently overtaken by two younger chefs and is excellent. The hotel and restaurant are seperate businesses. The hotel staff was kind but forgetful. My partner is intolerant to Gluten but despite having called in advance and been reassured that glutenfree bread was available, it was still forgotten twice at breakfast and long waiting as consequence. "The owner did everything. He was the best traditional innkeeper I have ever encountered. He was very helpful with checking ferry times etc for us. My wife was looking for a nativity and he put us in contact with shopkeepers who might be able to help. The building itself had lots of character and history. Breakfast was excellent. Room was comfortable with a midern clean bathroom."

"Huset har bevaret sit originale udtryk på trods af renovering gennem tiden. Den lille plads i huset er en del af charmen. Der manglede dog et fjernsyn eller i det mindste en radio. Det ville være et plus hvis der havde været en husmappe. Vi måtte lede en del for at finde el måler. Og det lykkedes ikke på de 3 dage vi var der et finde en udvendig skraldespand. "I made a booking through hotels.com. I then received check in instructions from Dancenter, which is a holiday agent in Denmark. As the booking was done through hotels.com I expected the stay to be fully paid, but when arriving at the property it was clear that on top of the hotels.com price I had to pay for electricity, water and heating. This was not explained on hotels.com. Arriving at the property I discovered that there was no bedding, so I had to go to the local supermarket and buy bedding....

I really enjoyed my visit to the Museum Langelandsfort in Denmark. It is on the site of a former active military base and has a wide range of military hardware and displays. There were artillery guns, bunkers, equipment rooms, submarine, minesweeper boats, tanks and fighter aircraft on display. Unlike other similar museums which lock everything away this one allows you to get up close and personal, touch walk through and even operate some of the equipment. Allow at least 3 hours as it is a big site with a fair amount of walking in between exhibits. As a suggestion, more translation of the displayed information into English, maybe an app or audio guide would be helpful in increasing the experience for international travellers.
