"Although we only stayed 1 night it was brilliant. Very clean, great view and room had everything you could possibly need. Lovely lounge downstairs too with lots of teas and coffees available to grab when fancy. Amazing breakfast - service, food and choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. "We stayed here for my husbands birthday weekend Joss welcomed us like family. The room and serivce was amazing We was made to feel so welcome. Joss had a card sent to our room for jons birthday Which was a lovely touch. The area is stunning and so quiet. "Nice warm and clean room called Ashley. Comfy bed and nice touches like a jar with fresh baked cookies with the tea and coffee. Only issue was the Bathroom light was on a sensor which meant it went out when you were in the bath shower or on the toilet. Very good breakfast and evening meals although a bit limited in the number of meal choices. This meant we only ate on one evening as we did not fancy the other things on the menu"

On a footpath near Tanis This year the path passes through a field of maize. At the beginning of June the plants are just a few inches high and easy to avoid as you walk the path, by the beginning of September they will be over your head. But raise your eyes while you can and see Oliver's Castle on the horizon centre screen. Easy to pick out with the small group of trees on top. SU0064

"Lovely hotel which was well located within the town centre. My partner and I didn't get to use the facilities as much as we had hoped, but we still had a great time, and the spa facilities were the highlight for my partner!. The only downside for me was the size of the gym, which I had hoped would have been be bigger, as everything was crammed on top of each other. Luckily, I was able to use the gym at a quiet time, but I can imagine it would be difficult to move around during peak times."
