"Love, love, loved our stay here what a hotel. Beautiful palace with sympathetically added bedrooms. Spacious, luxurious rooms, again with fantastic views. Wonderful views for the pool and bar area-stunning.Do wander into the town and around the beautiful gardens. Friendly, helpful staff-booked us a taxi for early airport run, with a breakfast bag. Even went to the trouble of prepping us coffees at 5am. We felt thoroughly spoilt."

"Verdelago is a great 5-star resort in the Algarve, away from tourists and tourist traps. It is a vast resort with many things to do. However, potential guests should be aware it is not fully-open. The resort is under construction even though you would not really notice it. They have done a fabulous and mindful job in protected guests from this. "Excellent property in deserted area"

"Overall the property is nice with an excellent breakfast but cleanliness and staff were disappointing and unfriendly. Check-in took a very long time, we had to sit for 20 min. before we got our key, hairs in the bathroom and one really big tuft of hair on the shower wall. Staff at breakfast were grumpy, tables were not cleaned and set to be seated for new guests so we sat down at a table with tableware and napkins and got a wave and bad reply from the waiter (apparently those tables were meant...
