"Spa was very lovely, our bed wasn’t the best for us but room was cozy. Unfortunately the afternoon tea gave me an upset tummy which wasn’t great but staff were very apologetic and gave a goodwill gesture which was appreciated. I would stay again for the spa and customer service. "

"A beautiful hotel set in lovely gardens on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Very good standard of food. The classic room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Perfect for a relaxing break once you have negotiated the 1.5 mile single track road to the hotel!"

"Janet and Martin were the absolute best hosts! From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, they were so attentive, helpful, and a true pleasure to be around. "Lovely warm welcome from owners and their dogs. Enjoyed the quirky decor and excellent breakfast menu. Very comfortable bed. Attractive garden area. Nice touches included owners calling us by our first names, fresh milk in room each day and well stocked 'honesty' bar. Some aspects of the room were a little tired. "
