"Really enjoyed our visit on 11th April. Booked the Keld room for one night. 3rd visit to the hotel. Very comfortable room on the first floor looking down to the front garden and moors opposite. Hotel has a rear garden with superb views as well. No lifts on property. Excellent service, superb breakfast. Many rooms have seperate bathroom ( private ). Haven't had an evening meal here. Think its more fine dining than traditional " pub grub ''. Limited wines by the glass. Bottles approx 45- 90...

Site of Croft Spa station, East Coast Main Line, 1988. View northward, towards Darlington etc.: ex-NER Doncaster - York - Newcastle -Berwick section of the ECML. They are just starting the electrification, which was completed by the end of the year. Croft Spa station had been closed from 3/3/69 and there is no sign of it here.
