"The staff had zero inviting mode. No smile, no sign of happiness. The whole place felt like a routine operation, didn't feel any warmth. Pool was not usable. No other places nearby, so you are bound to have their pricey meal option. And that too, needs to be reserved and time bound. At night the whole place lit up with many LEDs though, kids of other guests ran around. Amenities were just OK. The rooms were clean, but many things are old and worn out in the room. "We had the most wonderful stay from beginning to end! Service was friendly and gracious. The room was beautiful. As was the onsen. And both breakfast and dinner were superb. The front desk alerted the kitchen it was my wife’s birthday the following week and they made us up a lovely little plate of dessert treats to top off our excellent kaiseki. Everyone of the staff we encountered truly went above and beyond. Thank you again. Arigato gozaimasu."

"I came for a relaxing resort weekend at the beach and mostly stayed in the room and onsen between long meals. I loved sitting in the onsen in the rain, sitting and enjoying the view, and the friendly staff. I disliked the cost/value ratio, lack of resort activities and amenities, very limited ramen access times, and limited shuttle trips (finished by 1640 picking up from Tateyama Station).
