Bridget and the Team are lovely, the dog friendly rooms are fab (and spacious) and set in their own oak framed building within the grounds (so nice and quiet if you want to retreat early, or have an undisturbed lie-in 😊. "Don't waste any time. This is the place. Perfect grounds and classic structures. Great restaurant! Chef over-heard me ask about where was 'the local spot" for the best cottage pie. He made it special for me that night for dinner. It was the "Shakespeare of Cottage Pies. As a veteran of California spas for many years, this is the best spa experience ever, with amazing bubbling pools that connect inside to outside, a series of sauna's from dry to infrared to steam, and a sensory deprivation...

"From checking in at the bar you know that the quality of the room is going to be of a good standard as the pub itself is very nice modern but still classic feel of a country pub. Ate in the pub 1st night of the stay and food was a very standard and reasonably priced for the quality. Only slight negative we had was that although it’s in a quiet village a lot of traffic seems to come through it and can be heard in the accommodation. Will definitely use again when we come back down to visit our...

"A lovely place. We stay often and the rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. Great breakfast and lovely staff"

"Nice room, but although spacious, there was no chairs, only one stool, and no light over the dressing table mirror. Room was on 2nd floor up a narrow staircase which was awkward. Price was more expensive than expected with no breakfast included. I thought £185 for room only was too much. We went next door to Weatherspoons for breakfast instead."

"Nice warm and clean room called Ashley. Comfy bed and nice touches like a jar with fresh baked cookies with the tea and coffee. Only issue was the Bathroom light was on a sensor which meant it went out when you were in the bath shower or on the toilet. Very good breakfast and evening meals although a bit limited in the number of meal choices. This meant we only ate on one evening as we did not fancy the other things on the menu"
