"A little bit of frustration as it could be a gem, but the attention to details in the room make it average. Service was excellent, food was superb and properly priced, rooms were big and well designed, the flaw lies in the attention to details. Mosquito marks on the walls, cracks not plastered, gaps in doors that allowed bugs and animals (geckos and frogs) to come inside, mosquito net in shower room with wide gaps…I would be expecting this not to happen in a 4 star hotel"

"Nice hotel. Super helpful staff. Our toddler enjoyed exploring the grounds. Restaurant served nice food. Rooms are a bit basic relative to the price. We were unfortunately visiting during Christmas, and the hotel organised a very loud party, which made it hard to sleep! Agreed to lower the volume after many requests "

"My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our Sri Lanka trip. The rooms were very big and clean, and it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. The staff were great, and organised a safari trip for us, and a very early excursion to Lions Rock. The hotel was quite far away from main attractions, and where local restaurants and bars are (about 20 minute drive). This was fine for us as we hired a moped so we could come and go as we please. "Lovely, friendly family owned hotel. Excellent food (be prepared for a massive, homemade tasty Sri Lankan breakfast). Outdoor facilities a little basic but clearly a work in progress in improving. Pool and room were lovely. Nice nature walks nearby. Would recommend vegetarian dinner options."
