"This stay at the salamander was a little less than my expectations. The one thing that made things better were the managers, they were on top of everything. Although there were some things subpar the managers professionalism and troubleshooting for resolutions made it almost effortless. I would like to say thank you to Joe, the housekeeping manager, he was very kind and understanding. The restaurant was good. The location was excellent a 10 minute walk to the wharf. Close to the monuments....

"The location for this property is hard to beat. It's close to the Metro and with walking distance of many major sites. The facility was a little older, but well taken care of and clean. My one complaint was that the bed/pillows were very uncomfortable. But that was a small trade off that was definitely outweighed by everything else. "

Unfortunately there were noisy dogs on the same floor we were staying and their barking continued late at night. I was surprised that there were no washcloths in the bathroom and when I inquired for some, I was told they no longer have any. A strange thing to cut back on."

"Thi was a great choice. My only complaints were that we didn’t have shampoo in the shower when we came. We called the front desk and had to call them probably 3 times before we could ever get any. My husband eventually just took some off a cart. Don’t like to do that but what are ya gonna do? Other than that the staff was good. They helped us get back our shoes that got left at the pool and they brought up extra pillows for the kids. I think the shampoo thing was just one of those little...
