"Overall I had no issues with the hotel. I really enjoyed the area and the staff were extremely friendly. My 2 complaints: broken gym equipment ( and also the dearth of proper equipment ) and noise coming from a storage room late at night. Both may be unique to me. "Hotel was pleasant. Dined in the restaurant and the young waitress did a mighty job, against all odds. Bar, restaurant and kitchen sorely understaffed, leaving customers waiting to order, receive their meals and pay. At some stages, even the hotel receptionist was helping out in the bar and kitchen. "Just overnighted on the way to catch the ferry to Newhaven. Check in was quick, the room was nice and clean. Only disappointment after a long day’s driving was no vegetarian options in the restaurant. But we drove about five minutes and found a pub that catered for us meatless types. "Hotel is in a nice location. The spa is a bit limited, during our stay the steam room was not working and the sauna had to be re-activated to keep it on and this was not obvious.
