"This is a small castle-style state that has had modern rooms added onto the back. The staff we interacted with were very good, but the property including restaurant, bar, and check in desk were very understaffed. The night we were there, there was a prom, wedding, hen-dos, etc. It was very rowdy and service took a long time anywhere we interacted with the hotel staff, so we did not notice some of the beautiful aspects of the grounds until the next morning when we were driving off property. "A lovely stay in a cute old stable. Lovely provision of cereal, bread, butter, milk and coffee (including some for the cafetière for those like me who don’t drink instant). The fridge has a small freezer at the top which is great. The living room is double height and very comfy with underfloor heating, the bedroom is upstairs on the mezzanine. The owners have really thought about the things you need when staying away in self-catered accommodation and it shows! 10/10"

"Apartment was lovely - they had thought of everything, but what then let it down, was the use of cheap blinds that were almost see through and poorly fitting, and no curtains in the bedroom! There was also an overwhelming smell of what seemed to be damp. The apartment was really well thought out and very comfortable, but just let down by those 2 things."
