"Nice three night stay at The Bear with an upgrade to a lovely spacious room which was welcome. Breakfast was quite good also. Right in the heart of Woodstock and next door to Blenheim Palace so very good location."

"Great location and staff very helpful and friendly. There was a wedding happening whislt we stayed there and apart from seeing the bride and groom doing their photos we didnt even know a wedding was happening. Nice countryside walk into Thame as well. If i had to find issues then the room could have done with some complimentary water and dressing gowns though which was a bit of a surprise considering we were in a suite and the cost of it. Car park is a bit of a walk if its raining. However...

"The hotel was a typical European hotel with small rooms. The staff was excellent and helped us get to all the places we had planned to visit. There is a bus stop very close to the hotel which made it easy to get around. We don’t spend much time in our hotel room so the room is really not our main focus. The hotel is very clean and comfortable."

"I found the hotel to be very short staffed and a bit unorganised. I rang the hotel several times and no one answered my calls. Also no one returned my calls. The room was nice and clean and the food was what you would expect. Although they ran out of ham for the ham sandwich so had to have cheese! To be honest the staff tried there best but just under staffed "

"The Swan is in a lovely position overlooking the Thames. We had a nice spacious room overlooking the gardens and river. The main critacisim is that the weather was cold and we would have liked some central heating in the hotel. "

"Lovely welcoming staff, with honeycomb from their own bees. Lovely building, quiet and relaxing. Nice spa with treatments. Good buffet breakfast with lots of options overlooking the thames. An hours walk along the thames into oxford. Or a short bus ride from right outside the hotel. Would recommend. "
