"We were staying for 5 nights at the Rothay Hotel. It is a lovely hotel in a wonderful setting. However, the addition of a daily parking charge at the time we checked in was a shock. (Yes- I know, it was probably buried in the T & C's).To make matters worse, when I asked about the charge I was told it only applies to those who book via third party booking platforms. But not to those people who book direct! This is clearly a discriminatory practice, and the hotel passing on the platforms booking...

"We had an absolutely amazing stay at this property. The staff were so helpful and polite, they took fantastic care of us. The hotel and surrounding area were beautiful and well kept, the rooms were comfortable with plenty of space and accessible showers. Breakfast was included with the stay and was a delicious buffet, and dinner in the restaurant was fantastic. When we return to Windermere we will absolutely be coming back to stay here again. "
