"The Vanbrugh House is wonderfully located in the center of historic Oxford. Short walking distance to all the colleges, restaurants, bus station. A little longer but easy walk to train station. Cool historic building. Our family rented 3 rooms: 2 smaller ones and a larger "superior double". All were fine. The superior room was especially large, even by US standards (although the bathroom and shower were tiny). My only negative was that all the beds were pretty uncomfortable. Really hard...

"A beautiful building with stunning, high end converted rooms, right in the heart of Abingdon. Parking & check-in was easy. I’d read other reviews so knew Old Abbey House is not really a hotel as there are no staff, but this was not a problem. We stayed in a Deluxe Suite which was gorgeous, lovely bed, decor & furnishings and a fridge & cooker too. Top tip if you are staying more than 1 night I stand your own teabags, coffee & milk, as a very small supply is in the room. I’d highly recommend this...
