"So convenient for the rail station but also quiet and a very nice room. The staff were lovely. Area around the hotel was pretty, walking away from the station. We walked for 15-20 minutes and found the most beautiful restaurant by the water. Fabulous! Bed was a little squishy but otherwise perfect! "

"Situated in an excellent location close to both the train station and the centre of the city, Hotel Elite was a good choice for me. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. There are some aspects of my room that were looking a bit tired. For example, the grout in the bath/shower tiles had signs of mildew and the gauze curtains at the door to the balcony had yellowed with age. "

"The room was good. The access to the Aqua Park is a highlight. It's next to a mall so quite convenient if you want to do some shopping. Also not far for the city center, easily accessible by tram."

"Even though I don’t think it was intentional our check-in was a bit off putting. The air conditioning or fan didn’t work, quite stuffy so we had to leave windows open all night. Only one low pillow, found this uncomfortable even though bed comfortable. Carpets quite stained. Breakfast was 27CHF ($46 AUD each) felt this was very expensive. Pleased there was plenty of free parking. Easy walk into town centre."

Restaurant menu was limited and a bit pricey but food was excellent quality and beautifully presented. Soa facilities good but would have been helpful to be told we had to collect towels from reception in advance of heading down to use it. Staff very helpful. "

"This is an excellent hotel. The staff, location and quality of dining is 5-star. I would stay again. Parking is an additional fee of SF15/day. The only complaint is there is no air conditioning in the rooms. On hot days, or even warm days, the rooms are overly warm and the only option is to wait until nightfall and open the patio door - which is a better option if you are not on the ground floor. There is a touch-sensor in the room to operate the lights and the metal screens. It works some of...

"In a lovely spot in the old town of Fribourg. Loads of things to do by foot although it is quite hilly. The lady on reception was amazing, really friendly and very helpful. If going back to the train station use the funicular, quite an experience (powered by sewage!) and takes all the hills out which is handy when you have cases"
