"Our group chose to stay in Ashburton prior to flying out of Christchurch the next day. Taylors Motel was a great choice. Spacious and clean rooms (we had the 2-bedroom) and lounge area. Kitchen (fridge and stove) was small, however had everything we needed. Quiet location and short walk to shops, cafes. Friendly owners and easy check-in/out. "

"The town is busy. People come to have coffee and dine. It is close to multiple destinations. Easy to stay for a week. I gave it high rate. "

"Large slightly dated hotel. Clean rooms. We had parking outside our rooms. Friendly reception. Pool and dining area were closed. Large sports type bar attached with good bar food. This was popular with locals and truckers staying in adjacent car park. However, it was quiet. Practical hotel for travellers. "

"Friendly welcoming host. Room spacious and clean. Light breakfast in morning very nice. Handy to Hot pools that are well worth a visit. Only issue was our room in main lodge backed onto a shower in the room next door so as walls thin when shower was run it was woke you in morning. "

"I really like a cafetierre, so it was a pleasant surprise to have one. I especially booked the unit with the balcony but it was dirty and obviously hadn't been cleaned for months."
