"Hotel is in a great location to Winchester town. Rooms are decorated beautifully but are stifling hot and our room lacked natural light. We put the air con on but the condensation was pouring from the machine. "

"From the start the receptionist was very friendly and very helpful. The restaurant menu had something for everyone but the dessert menu was lacking. Breakfast was amazing!!! The spa facilities were as expected, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again!"

"Great, character hotel right in the centre of Winchester. Easy walking distance of the high street and Catherderal and numerous restaurants and coffee shops. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room and fantastic bathroom however general maintenance of the room could be improved."

"This hotel is fantastic—clean, well-maintained, and worthy of its 4-star rating. The buffet breakfast is excellent, and I absolutely loved the blackout curtains. The staff are great, the beds are super comfy, and the bathroom was nice. Plus, it's just a 10-minute drive from Stonehenge. I would have given it 5 stars if the shower hose in our room hadn't been broken. Although the staff accommodated us by allowing us to use a bathroom in a different room, it was a bit inconvenient. "

"It's not every day you can say you stayed in a 16th century hotel. Of course getting to the room is tricky unless you have balance on wonky floors & stairs. But it's character features, bit of creaky floorboards. The room was fairly modern but was surprised no telephone which I needed. Had to shut the window to sleep to cut down outside noises but not totally. Food was good, restaurant was full, staff friendly. Unique experience."
