"Had a great stay in the Broadside room last night. Only issue is that the bed does need replacing - although fairly comfy to sleep on once settled, the mattress has lost all of its springiness and has no support, and makes a terrible racket when turning over in the night and has random springs boinging for no reason. The bed itself also creaks quite badly too. However…..if this gets sorted we will happily stay here again time after time. Every single other aspect of our stay was fantastic-...

"Stayed here for a 2 night break. Friendly welcome and a lovely room (The Hayloft). Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and cereal to start and a nice home cooked breakfast. Great touch with having a toaster on the table to toast the delicious bread and enjoy the marmalade. Breakfast was efficient with no waiting. Liz and John have a delightful place for a stay."

"In our 2-night stay we had no contact with anyone else at the hotel, but could hear othwr guests a little from our room. Check-in was easy with guidance sent in advance, and the room was cleaned well during the day. The accomodation was clean and comfortable, although the common areas were unlit during the day so quite dark. A small amount of shampoo and shower gel was provided, and the room had a kettle. "Lovely and quirky. We really enjoyed it. Ideal romantic getaway for a weekend. The private shower rooms/ toilet although dedicated to each hut are a very short walk away. Disappointed that the hot tub had to be reserved, but understandable in the present climate! Breakfast is simple…. Cook your own waffles and pancakes!!!! Would have been better to have cereals and toast with some jam and marmalade!!"
