"Met a lovely lady who greated us at the door And welcomed us in to a lovely warm guest house, The room was very clean and tidy had everything you need A very comfortable bed ovely fluffy towels Very quiet had a great night's sleep Was offered a cooked Breakfast at £8 but a continental was included in the price of stay which was great Definitely a place i would go back to"

"It was something that wife had wanted to do since she was a teenager. And now we both have, it is an iconic location with an amazing history and it has hosted some of the most famous people of the 20th century which include Winston Churchill to the Fab Four "The Beatles". It was everything we expected and for more."

"We had a lovely overnight stay at this inn. The room was great , very clean , quality fixtures and fittings. Bed very comfortable, quality bed linens. Spacious ensuite , plenty of hot water with good water pressure in the shower. Showe gel , shampoo and towels all provided. We had a lovely meal in the evening , 3 course special menu was great value. Great breakfast provided in the morning. Team at the inn were friendly and welcoming. Full of character "

"The location, grounds and building are lovely. Ambiance is unpretentious and professional, the food delicious. The rooms are lovely but our bathroom was a let down. Very deep old and somewhat dangerous bathtub, with mixer shower taps. No way to shower without flooding. Very limited shelving/storage - nowhere to put washbags etc."

"The staff were extremely helpful and on hand if and when we needed them. This is an old building which has kept its character which added to the experience. The room had an en-suite and was clean and the water was nice and hot. They don’t do evening meals but Okehampton is not far away so eating out is not a problem. Breakfast was excellent and plenary of choice."
