"Wonderful staff who were very friendly and attentive - 5 Stars. A nice small (10 rooms) hotel with good food and service. However, the area around the hotel is grubby (lots of run down buildings and construction) and the location is inconvenient/isolated. It is a short walk to a beautiful beach/stretch of ocean and El Barracuda but most other things are not within walking distance. Good for a short break and very relaxing."

"It was a beautiful place that needs some TLC. Maybe we just missed busy season but only a few guests there so it was a little spooky for my daughter not seeing anyone in this huge place. The very few staff members we saw were really nice but spoke little English so couldn't ask them much. That's ok since I was visiting their country and know basic Spanish. From a distance the pools look really nice but tiles falling off and not the cleanest, hot tubs half full with debris in them or closed...

"My stay at Avela Boutique was very pleasant. The room was very clean, comfortable and the ac worked amazingly well! If you need a quiet place to stay this is the place for you! The best part for me staying at this Hotel was definitely the service and the attention the staff gave to me. "This was an excellent property, with amazing staff. It has really cool boho vibe. Very comfortable bed and large seating area. Fantastic views. It's very central and very close to everything; walkable everywhere. I would only say, this hotel is not for light sleepers as there is a a lot of activity and music coming from the central bars at night. Thanks Rigo and team!"

"Had an exceptional view and rooftop pool. Restaurant was delicious, roof bar coming soon, had a grocery store inside with essentials and coffee and another clothing store for all ages. "

"The property, to no fault of their own, was very noisy due to construction directly across the street which meant we could not enjoy the pool. The manager was not around a lot, I had a complaint about people in the pool after midnight, they were smoking and drinking until after 1am but the manager was not around to tell. I would stay there again, but I would google map the area to see where the construction was taking place."

"Marcel at the accommodations was fantastic. We realize it is a new property and he is continuously working on it. We stayed in the cabin/terrace overlooking the pool. It’s a very neat room, however no sound proofing in walls or doors/windows, since the walls are just boards and the doors/windows just screens. The resident gato is very friendly as well. If we returned to Sayulita, we would stay here again. "
