"Got “upgraded” as overbooked. Ended up in the hotel side. Is nice and has the facilities although the rooms aren't as spacious as the museum side. Window latch was falling apart so had a breeze coming through. Everything else was all good. "

"The Wyndham Microtel was perfectly situated for our needs. It was close to the ferry (which we were taking the following morning) and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and stores. The amenities were fabulous, the room and hotel were clean, and we appreciated the spaciousness of the room. "

"We had an extremely short stay since our ferry from the South Island to the North Island was delayed by almost 7 hours. So we didn't check in until 5am the next day. The staff was accommodating and adjusted the check-in very quickly. The beds and room were comfortable. However the shower was a bust. It's a fishbowl type of shower with two doors.
