"We really enjoyed the location of the property - very easily walkable to Oxford city centre (either on a pavement by the main road or along the river) - around 10-15mins but in a quieter and secluded location. Taxi took 10mins from the train station despite a bit of traffic (£6). Staff were very helpful as attentive, room was spacious with double aspect. Swimming pool was much smaller than expected and the changing areas could do with a bit more frequent cleaning (I was surprised that people...

"Great location and staff very helpful and friendly. There was a wedding happening whislt we stayed there and apart from seeing the bride and groom doing their photos we didnt even know a wedding was happening. Nice countryside walk into Thame as well. If i had to find issues then the room could have done with some complimentary water and dressing gowns though which was a bit of a surprise considering we were in a suite and the cost of it. Car park is a bit of a walk if its raining. However...

"The building and grounds were very good and also the service from the staff. The decor in the room needed attention with marks on the walls (Room 407) and paint peeling off in places. The toilet did not flush correctly and the only thing that let it down formbeing an excllent review was the decor in the bedroom, the rest of the hotel was lovely with a lot of character."

"The hotel was a typical European hotel with small rooms. The staff was excellent and helped us get to all the places we had planned to visit. There is a bus stop very close to the hotel which made it easy to get around. We don’t spend much time in our hotel room so the room is really not our main focus. The hotel is very clean and comfortable."

"I love this hotel. It is beautiful and has so many amenities! First class. This is my second stay here and I can’t wait till the next one. The staff is awesome! I came in on an early flight and Tonya was able to get me into my room by 10 o’clock because it was empty that night before. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated that after spending 12 hours flying. Hotel is beautiful, the Thames Riveris beautiful, the staff is amazing. I have to say is the finest hotel I’ve ever stayed in Europe....

"Lovely welcoming staff, with honeycomb from their own bees. Lovely building, quiet and relaxing. Nice spa with treatments. Good buffet breakfast with lots of options overlooking the thames. An hours walk along the thames into oxford. Or a short bus ride from right outside the hotel. Would recommend. "
