"The one thing they really need to do is update the bathrooms here. Ours was old kinda had some rust stains, so the bathrooms are in need of updating all around. The AC also could be better suited to the rooms. The bunkbed area got warm no matter what temp we kept the room at. Overall good hotel. Just needs some updating here and there "

The staff was remarkably friendly and aimed to please in every situation from arrival each time we left the sight to our final departure, we felt like family. The Baytown Wharf had much to offer from live music to a plethora of restaurant chouces and shopping just a short walk from Effie Hotel. "Price was great. Really enjoyed the stay. The ambiance was as though we stepped back into the past. Loved that when we arrived 3 hours early, our old style key was waiting for us at the desk. "This was a beautiful condo, right on the beach, we had a spectacular beachside view. I would absolutely stay there again. The only thing i was disappointed about was the jetted bathtub in the master bathroom was not clean. It appeared clean, but when you filled it with water the water was filled wkth lack and brown debris once you turned on the jets. I am assuming the jets had not been cleaned in awhile. Sadly due to this I did not use it."

"Living room furniture should be replaced. It’s worn and not comfortable to use. The same is recommended for master bedroom mattresses. Mattresses have seen their best years. Cheap pillows. “Dollar Store” quality patio chairs. They’re made of thin and cheap plastic. Not safe to sit in. Two of the four chairs were broken. Master toilet flushing was nearly non-functional. "

"Beautiful place and location, spacious, clean and quiet! I was able to contact the property easily to answer questions, would love to stay again! They only supply enough toilet paper for the first 24 hours so be sure to grab more, and if you want to get a late checkout/etc be sure to give them plenty of days to schedule it with their cleaning services. It was nice to have the beach chairs and umbrellas available too through their beach services, and our 3 year old loved the pool!"
