The noise on the main road was a bit loud and there is no privacy whatsoever since most all the rooms face the parking lot and the one window faces all the parked cars and people. "This was the best overall place we stayed during our two months in New Zealand. Each room has a separate section of a huge balcony with stunning views, comfortable patio furniture. The room was large, comfortable, with large picture windows. The bathroom was large and modern with a great shower. Breakfast was delicious with a number of options to choose from and the hosts were terrific, friendly, knowledgeable about the area."

"We truly appreciated the hospitality as they pointed us to a place to eat (with warnings that the kitchen would close soon) as well as a suggestion for kayaking. Phil also patiently bore us to the kayaking place when my daughter and I got turned around. They even allowed us a shower after kayaking and after our checkout time. The best part was they bore with us as we overstayed our check-out while trying to get on a new flight when our flight was canceled. Thank you for everything."
