Watamu itself is a bit less interesting in the off season (I.e. most restaurants are closed, as are many of the gear shops), but it’s still lovely if not a tad bit windy. Staff were amazing! "The scenery around the property was very beautiful. Overall the property was what I would consider a little tired. Lots of rooms to maintain and insufficient funds to do so. All inclusive was average to be kind food possibly below average (my fiance suffered from food poisoning after eating fish at lunch on the first day). "I visited The One during off season and covid mitigation rules, and due to this circunstances, I was surprisingly the only customer in the whole large resort. I got very warm welcome and free upgrade to a seafront apartment. Nothing major to complain other than the TV in the apartment did not work, neither did the wifi for some occasions.
