"This might just be the best hotel I've ever stayed in. I came straight from work, upon my arrival to reception, the receptionist (Amelie/Amelia?) could not have been more welcoming. As I was checking in, I was offered a complimentary drink which was lovely. I was then offered to sign up to the free members club which I did and immediately got a free room upgrade and 2 mini bottles of Prosecco for the room as I was having a girls night with my best friend. "Stayed for one night with a friend. Staff were welcoming at reception. We arrived too early to check in but they were able to look after our luggage whilst we wandered up to Cabot Circus. Room was clean and quiet. Bed was so comfortable and the shower was lovely and hot. Breakfast was fresh and plenty of choice. All in all a lovely stay and would certainly go back. "Lovely old hotel in the midst of a major renovation. We were booked into a newly renovated room which was nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable. There was some noise from renovations on weekdays but it was not particularly bothersome. The location is great - essentially equidistant between the Abbey and Roman Baths and the Circus and Royal Crescent. Buffet breakfast was very good and staff was inviting and helpful. Overall a very nice hotel. "
