"I guess they were busy over the holiday season - I was surprised that an airport hotel wouldn't have rooms ready and available pretty much around the clock. However, the nice man at the desk did finally manage me a room at 12 noon. I needed to be up at 4 am for my flight and had work to do before I went to bed early. Unfortunately, the room did not have a desk and there is no business center in the hotel - they suggested I could work in the restaurant; nowhere near ideal. Surprised me as one...

"We had a family stay at Rydges on New Years Eve. Our room was lovely and we had an excellent view of the fireworks at midnight. Excellent location for transport, public transport, shopping and eateries."

"Everything about Oaks was great, my partner and I both enjoyed the room and the staff were super friendly. We chose the City view, no housekeeping package but the lovely man at the front desk added it on for no extra charge. This was my first time in Wellington so definitely made it memorable, my only complaint is that there were a lot of homeless people outside, but other than that, everything was great! "
