"Hotel was well placed for the bus to Wernigerode ( free courtesy of tourist tax on arrival), castle, coffee shops and town. It has it's own nice comfortable dining/bar area in a big courtyard which we used to eat Indonesian food and German food plus drinks . We also walked to a fish restaurant for dinner and the Brauhaus on the way to the market square . It's very picturesque walking round town. "Refused service dog with disabled traveler, then attempted to charge for service dog, then decided that they hadn’t received the payment for the booking when sharon paid in full to hotels.com. Male concierge hotelier was incredibly ignorant without any knowledge of use of service animals. Could not contact hotels.com provided ample evidence with emails of proof of payment plus also info from hotels.com site. Hotelier would not take any of this information insisting room had never been paid for...
