"We had an excellent time at this hotel. The staff was beyond helpful and nice. Rooms were super clean. We got the basic room, but it was larger than we expected and just fine for three nights. Great location in the heart of the city. Our only complaint was the temperature of the room at night. We had to open the window because it was so hot. The gym was also very hot and had limited equipment. It had three cardio machines and a set of hand weights (only Up to 10 kg). "

"Staff was excellent, room very good. A bit expensive, but convenient to town center. The area around the hotel had massive construction going on. A bit noisy, but very quiet at night. Two negatives: shower was terrible, one minute it was extremely hot and the next it was suddenly ice cold. Taking a shower was an adventure. Also the room was a bit warm, and the thermostat didn’t work. Overall though, a nice hotel. We’d definitely stay there again."

"I’m an expat and every time I come home to Basel I stay here. It’s just a good old-fashioned grand hotel. Swiss hotel business at its best. People are super friendly, rooms are big, bathrooms are modern, spacious and nice and some rooms have nice balconies. Also great bar and breakfast. Cheap for what it is in my opinion!
