"Ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit guter Anbindung zur Frankentherme. Abendbuffet recht gut. Leider war am letzten Tag eine sehr grosse (50 bis 100 Personen) zählende Kneipensportmanschaft (Dart) angereist die entsprechend weitgehend ungestört bis mindestens 1 Uhr nachts direkt am Hotel laut Krach gemacht haben. Die Polizei hat die laute Musik auf dem Nachbarparkplatz zwar ab 22:30 unterbunden dafür wurde dann aber am Hoteleingang laut geredet und gelacht, und der massive Zigarettenqualm kam im Zimmer 2....

"The stay was comfortable and quiet. I did not use the spa, as I arrived pretty late for my one night stay, but the facility looked very inviting. My only less than stellar note to this property is the lack of an air conditioning system. It was a stuffy summer night and so I needed to have the window open. One or several of my neighbors had a smoking habit which seemed to keep them smoking outside their room all night and into the morning and that smoke consistently entered my room."

"This hotel was amazing! So beautiful and charming. It was the perfect place to stay in an already adorably charming town. The room was beautiful and comfortable, the bathroom was huge and lovely, and the dining area was off-the-charts lovely. The breakfast (with candlelight and so much food) was terrific, and the staff were friendly and helpful. "The stay was fine. Beds clean but a bit uncomfortable. Biggest problem was we were a group of 3 couples. Reservations had been made months in advance. When we checked in the reservation for one of the couples had been canceled accidentally by the hotel and they were completely booked. They were able to put 2 couples into a mini suite in which one of the couples had to sleep on a pull out sofa bed. They didn't even offer to comp the room. "We were so disappointed with this hotel. It is NOT near Aalen. It needs so much work. It looks like it might have been busy at some point but it feels like a ghost hotel. Our room had one small comforter. No towels. No glasses. 2 pillows. A refrigerator that did not work. The washer dryer area for the hotel is dirty and pathetic. The reception area had trash that was not picked up for two days and no Receptionist. There was quite a bit of deferred maintenance on the property. It...

"The Meiser Altstadt Hotel was very pleasant and charming. The entire area around the hotel is an Old World delight, and the staff at the hotel were as charming and helpful as anyone could ask, and they were unfailingly gracious and patient with the language barrier. The hotel restaurant was outstanding also. "
