"This hotel is huge. The main foyer is brand new and gorgeous with bar, restaurant and swimming facilities. The rest of the hotel is a bit older. The room is an okay place to stay. The sheets are clean and the bathroom usable. But the floors did feel perpetually dirty underfoot. It's worth the money to stay and I enjoyed the experience. "

"I had a very warm welcome on arriving. Check was quick with nice staff. Bedroom was fine with ensuite shower room. It was quiet at night and I slept well. Breakfast was excellent well cooked and great value as it was included in the price of the room. Restaurant staff were very friendly and smiled which always nice and doesn't cost anyone anything, so well done 👍. I will come back.... "

"This is a first-class hotel with beautifully-appointed rooms. Lots of attention to detail for the guest (complimentary drink in room on arrival, 24 hour room service, lovely restaurant and bar). Historic setting on high street, within easy walking distance of all attractions and train station. Very attentive staff. Highly recommended. "

"Lovely overnight stay in comfortable room with all the facilities needed. Bathroom was a bit tired and had limited space to put wash bags etc, but there was plentiful hot water and a decent shower, lovely toiletries and good towels. Good lively atmosphere in hotel, it’s Christmas so lots of entertainment. We hadn’t reserved a table in the restaurant which I thought could be a problem on a Friday night at Christmas, but the hotel thoughtfully reserves some tables for its hotel guests and we had a...
