Staying at a Castle has always been on my bucket list.
Grounds around the castle are well manicured.
Staff are great.
Very old school style comfort and service.
Bathroom facilities are modern.
Rooms are well appointed.
Its not cheap, but if you can afford it would recommend as a special occasion.
Staying overnight at a castle has been on my bucket list for quite some time. My Amberley Castle stay did not disappoint. The accommodations were a perfect blend of 21st century comforts and a centuries-old castle. My son and I stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our beautiful rooms and breathtaking grounds, along with impeccable service and delicious food. Every request to the staff was fulfilled cheerfully and efficiently.
The food, and wine selection, at the restaurant was amazing. The rooms are spacious and bright and the staff couldnt have been more helpful and friendly. Highly recommended this hotel!
Castle is beautiful. Service needs a little improving especially at breakfast. Would have appreciated a buffet as well as the hot Ala carte items. Rooms were clean but could have used a little updating.
If you want to be spoiled by amazing service and spectacular food, surrounded by history where famous bishops, kings, and queens stayed for 800 years, look no further. The village setting next door seems out of a fairly tale.
Two night stay, dined at a local pub in Amberley the first night and at the Hotel the second night. The service and food in the restaurant at breakfast and at dinner was excellent. The hotel staff I spoke to on the phone before arrival and all the staff came in contact with while there were polite, friendly and helpful.
The room was kept clean and tidy with tea and coffee replenished each day for duration of stay.Option of free daily newspaper explained at check in.
This was a wonderful stay. The Castle is fascinating and all the staff, particularly Michael and Henny were so friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to go back.
Stunningly beautiful place and village
The staff were wonderful, very polite and helpful from start to finish
Water pressure in room low, but never easy in a 1000 yr old castle!
Will definitely revisit
Staff were fantastic. Even when we did drop-off in the car. They came out to greet us and take our luggage in Direct explaining about the castle and showing us where the lounges were and breakfast room. Staff couldn’t do enough we like fresh milk they said they would bring it up for us Breakfast was amazing the chef was very good enjoyed sitting in the lounge in the evening, having drinks and a snack one comment. Shame you didn’t do burger and chips for a snack meal in the evening
