"Staying at Fa was truly a mixed bag; moments of bliss and delight but times of frustration. There was plenty of parking and the location in Helmsley is beautiful. The welcome at hotel and spa reception was par excellence. The quality of the evening meal (food and service) was wonderful. A true highlight of the stay. "Loved the B&B, owners were friendly, rooms clean and it is such a quaint setting. Stone throw away from train station. Food was lovely. Set in a small village so it’s quiet. It is quite hilly so be aware if you have mobility issues. "

"We had a wonderful 3-night stay and Helene was the perfect host. The room was large and clean with a very comfortable bed. The pre-ordered breakfast was delicious. The location was perfect as a base for everywhere we wanted to visit in Yorkshire and right next to Pickering centre. Would certainly highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Only point to make is, if wanting to visit steam train or Pickering castle, check opening times. "
