"Property is very grand and well maintained. There is some work going on in the grounds at the moment but that doesn't detract from the way it looks or is presented. Rooms in the paddock annex are nice but wifi was lacking which wasn't ideal as we were there for work purposes. Only other downside, is that the food choices are either high end or the bar menu which itself is limited. There needs to be more a mid-range restaurant option in my opinion. "We arrived at the Vanbrugh House Hotel for our anniversary expecting our standard double room booking and what we paid for. They surprised us with an upgrade at no extra cost to the Vicarage Suite which was absolutely phenomenal. We had two baths and a shower, multiple sofas with a huge kingsize bed along with chocolates and a bottle of prosecco in ice. We can't recommend this hotel enough. The suite even included its own private garden! "
