"We stayed here for 3 days and had a really nice time. The property is very well maintained and clean. Our room was very nice. The bed was a bit small and the floorboards were a bit creaky. The walls are very thin and consequently “in room noises “ from other rooms were easily heard. The location is very rural and not close to much. The restaurant was decent but the service was poor. "Great hotel in a lovely location within walking distance of everything in Stamford. We had booked a Cosy Room which was on the small side but was perfectly comfortable for our one-night stay. "Loved my short stay at this wonderful hotel. It was like stepping back in history and living in a stately home. First class service from the staff and marvellous food too. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Lovely peninsula walk (5.5 or 7 mile options) right on the doorstep and a short drive to two nature / bird reserves. Would recommend and we will hopefully be back."

"It was the best place I’ve stayed at in Peterborough so far. Clean, nice, and central. Only criticisms are the shower door was broken/not attached properly ( I expect this was a previous resident and hasn’t been noticed yet) and that the double bed was 2 singles with a double sheet over it, so I kept waking up falling down the middle! But with that said, it was a decent place and I will likely return. "
