"This is a beautiful property and the room was amazing. It felt super safe and we had no complaints with the venue. We did find that the staff weren’t as personable as some of the other places we stayed during our trip, but they were still helpful and polite. The only complaint we had was that we had booked an olive tour the night prior, and we were told it was a 45 minute tour with a tasting. We waited half an hour for the tour and was picked up in a pickup truck and driven around for 25 minutes...

"We stayed one night at the Oakdene Guest House and wished we had stayed for two nights. The owners, Sonia and Daniel, were very welcoming and couldn’t have done anymore for us. Sonia cooks her own bread and cakes for guests. The smell and taste of both was fantastic. There is a swimming pool at the end of the long garden which was a great spot to unwind after a long drive. "What an amazing stay! We arrived late at night, but were given such a warm welcome and even asked what we wanted to eat in advance so they could have it ready for us. A simply gorgeous location in the mountains. The focus on fresh, farm ingredients too was a treat. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. I would return here in a heartbeat. "

"Marie is a warm and inviting host, nothing appears to be too much trouble. Our room was spacious with an outdoor seating & patio area. The guest house is on the edge of town and so we used a cab service when heading out for dinner in the evening. Marie organised and booked(very cheap and nice driver) She also recommended 2 restaurants where the food was very good.
